This movie review is about the first voyage of the Titanic that follows two young youthful people whom eventually share a delicate connection through the disaster of the sinking ship.

The Titanic captured my attention but sunk my heart in the end as it was left as a tragic romance ending.

The Titanic is a dramatic romance movie that was set to sail across the Atlantic Ocean to New-York city. On this ship was a young madam by the name of Rose DeWitt Bukater from an upper class family who was intrigued by a young lad by the name of Jack Dawson who happened to be from a lower class society. During the sail across the ocean Jack and Rose ventured the ship, deciding that when the shipped docked, they would get off and start a life together. The ship struck an ice berg causing a mass panic among all the passengers. Once in the freezing cold water, Jack and Rose struggled to survive. The two main characters in this movie are Kate Winslet, who plays loving the role of Rose, and Leonardo DiCaprio who plays the adventurous role of Jack. This movie was directed, produced, and written by James Cameron. The scene of this movie takes place on an extravagant ship called the Titanic in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.  While watching this movie the viewer should expect to see how people of different social classes are treated. This movie gives off a heartwarming story and a shocking ending.

What made me remember the characters was the Jack was an artist and the minute he saw Rose, he knew he wanted to draw a portrait of her. An example of this would be in the scene when Rose agrees to invite Jack into her room on the ship. This scene also shows an immediate connection between the two. The acting was magnificent because the bond between Jack and Rose felt so real which made the story even more heartbreaking in the end.

James Cameron, director of the Titanic, exerted creative control by deciding the final cut of the movie.  Creative control was portrayed in this movie after the ship had sunk. Jack and Rose were freezing in the water. There was only room for one person of the on the piece of wood that was floating above the water. The final cut was when Rose had to let go of Jack of Jack so that she grab the life boat’s attention.

This movie is based on a true event that occurred back in 1912. The sound effects that stand out the most to me are the people bouncing off bars and falling off the boat as the ship is sinking. I find these effects are memorable, not necessarily in a pleasing way, but it gives you a feel of what these people experienced. When it comes to the soundtrack of this movie, the theme song was My Heart Will Go On, sung by Celine Dion.  Parts of this song were played several times throughout the movie. As jack was dying and Rose was calling for the boat, the instrumental version of this song was playing. If you’re someone who knows the lyrics to this song, I think that the song was perfect for that scene. It symbolizes the strong connect between them and how Rose will never let him go.

You should invest your time and money to see this movie because it is history. This is not just a movie. This film is based on a true story. It is worth seeing because it tells the story of many who survived, and may whom lost their lives. For me, this is a movie I could never get tired of because every time I watch it, I see it from a different perspective.  It is by far one of the best movies I have ever watched.  Though I know how it always ends, but this film gives you the feeling that maybe this time there will be a different ending to it.

I believe the information given in this review definitely told the story of a young couple who fall in love, and are separated in the end.  As mentioned in the previous paragraphs, this is not just a dramatic romance film. This movie is history. I am sure that I left the leader anxious to watch this film. This review tells the storyline of the film and leaves you wanting to watch the true events of a tragic romantic love story.
